Reading and eating

Two new accounts (new in 2018; new to the page today) on encouraging parents whose child seems late to read:
SandraDodd.com/r/encouragement

New-to-the-site scientific findings about problems with controlling food. Schuyler had written in a chat about food, in 2009:
David's been working on a paper based in some large part on Pam's Economics of TV Watching.

They don't know when they are full Girls are particularly bad at self-regulating their diet after they've been controlled by their parents

They no longer know what full is because they've been told what it is for so long
I added a link to David's paper, and made Schuyler's mention of Pam's paper a link, at:

But so you won't need to skim through a chat to get to them:

Economics of Restricting TV Watching of Children

Evolution, obesity, and why children so often choose the unhealthy eating option, 2009
