I get so tired of hearing people say that I am making a mistake. He will never learn anything. He is so smart it is awesome to me. Thank you.English Country shabbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15841847942340276644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31768668.post-18653191806135607652013-03-20T12:13:28.743-06:002013-03-20T12:13:28.743-06:00Thanks, Catherine! When I'm working on them I always think they're long and boring and nobody will care, so I'm very glad you read them. :-)

Janice, I appreciate your comment but would like to point out that when a child is sitting on a couch in his mother's home, holding a remote control, that's not violent. He's not being hurt, and he's not hurting anything or anybody. It's just patterns and puzzles. It's not violence.

http://sandradodd.com/violence/Sandra Doddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11853107998229753762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31768668.post-49598694361000425802013-03-20T11:04:22.569-06:002013-03-20T11:04:22.569-06:00just discovered you...just started homeschooling m...just discovered you...just started homeschooling my 13 yr old, after realizing he'd never be able to benefit in the left-brained public school environment. Advised by other homeschool moms to de-school for some time, which I'm happy to do. Realizing that we may just be "unschoolers" by nature. My boy is a passionate and clever computer nerd, and was amused when I read him your entry about Minecraft. I have intuitively allowed him to pursue his cyber interests without judgement. He is not attracted to violence in gaming at all, so I have just let it rip. For those of you with this type of kid, may I suggest the game Spore, also Little Big Planet. They will shortly amaze you with how quickly they become very skilled at creating their own worlds and they will make friends worldwide.
